Each our internal office staff at Bear votes to determine the temporary associate
of the month. Associate of the Month receives a custom Bear Staffing Jersey thanking
them for their efforts along with a $100 bonus. We also ask for client nominations
for this award. If you wish to nominate someone please call us today.
If you work 456 hours in the 12 week period immediately preceding the holiday, and
you work the first scheduled day prior to and after the holiday you will receive
8 hours of regular time pay. Bear pays for the following holidays.
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
If you work 1500 hours in a calendar year you are eligible for to receive a vacation
bonus. This bonus equals your average rate of pay over the last year. You must check
with your supervisor at the client site, and get their permission if you want to
take time off. You must also notify your bear representative.
Did you know that you are eligible for the 401K from the day you start work at Bear.
Open enrollment is every January 1 and July 1. You can only enroll those two times.
All employees of
Bear Staffing are eligible to become members of Andrew’s Federal
Credit Union. This is the same credit union that serves the United States Air Force
at Andrew’s Air Force Base. Members of the credit union may qualify for pay day
loans, low interest loans as well as standard checking and savings accounts.
Employees of Bear Staffing are eligible for several different variations of group
medical plans. If you have been with Bear more than 90 consecutive days, contact

If you give us a lead of someone who is using staffing, or if you can connect us
with someone you know who utilizes temporary staffing agencies, we will pay up to
a $500 referral depending on the volume of the account.
While you are on the job, you are covered by Bear’s Worker’s Compensation Insurance.
IF YOU ARE INJURED ON THE JOB, AND THE INJURY IS NOT NOW, NOR GOING TO BE LIFE THREATENING,
YOU MUST GO TO ONE OF THE PROVIDERS DESIGNATED BY BEAR STAFFING. YOU ALSO MUST REPORT
YOUR INJURY TO YOUR SUPERVISOR AT THE CLIENT AN YOUR BEAR REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY.
We will arrange for you to go to a clinic that is close to you. IF YOU HAVE ANY
TYPE OF INJURY THAT MIGHT IMPAIR YOUR ABILITY TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE DO NOT
DRIVE. EITHER SOMEONE AT THE CLIENT WILL TRANSPORT YOU OR A BEAR REPRESENTATIVE
WILL PICK YOU UP AND TAKE YOU TO THE CLINIC. IF YOUR INJURY IS LIFE THREATENING
OR HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE, GET SOMEONE TO TAKE YOU TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM OR IN
CASES OF EXTREME EMERGENCY HAVE SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE.
WORKER’S COMPENSATION FRAUD IS A NATIONWIDE PROBLEM. IF YOU HURT YOURSELF OFF THE
JOB AND THEN CLAIM THAT IT HAPPENED AT WORK, OR IF YOU ENGAGE IN ANY OTHER FRAUDULENT
ACTIVITY, BEAR STAFFING WILL INVESTIGATE FULLY AND PROSECUTE OFFENDERS TO THE FULLEST
EXTENT OF THE LAW.
Bear Staffing provides Short Term Disability Benefits in New Jersey in compliance
with state law. Our carrier for SDI benefits is Zurich Insurance. If you are filing

If you are not currently on assignment you must call in twice a week to our available
line. If you do not make yourself available for work, it may affect your eligibility
to collect unemployment. When you reach our automated attendant press 2 and follow
the instructions.
